I'm back

Post by Scratchy1971 » Wed Aug 12, 2015 8:01 pm

10 months since my last brew, plan to pull the BM out of mothball this weekend and brew a Hop Hammer clone. Over a pound of hops in the BK, for a 10 gallon batch. Choose this recipe so I could get the old hops out of the freezer :D

It really was a sin going this long without a brew.

That's good news Scratchy, hopefully the hiatus was by choice.

I'm brewing a 10 gallon batch of a Marzen/Festbier this Saturday. Fermenting on Kolsch yeast will give it a lager characteristic, without the extended long wait. I brewed this very recipe a few years ago and took 1st place. :D

Hey Hooch, kinda by choice. Kids and a new business, so something had to shake-out.

I did a Festbier with a Kolsch yeast for my last brew. It was lackluster, but I must have done something wrong since everyone raves about theirs.

Cheers.
