Been eyeing it for a while but haven't quite figured out if it would work with the brew magic. It's a foot high and I'm worried about priming issues with the chillwizard.

Mine just arrived today. Once I get a chance to brew with it, I'll report back.

Have you had a chance to use it yet?

I've used it three times thus far, all 10 gallon batches; once on a nut brown and twice on a Bell's Two-hearted clone. The nut brown build didn't challenge the filter at all, but the Bell's clone really tested the screen that comes standard, with excellent results against pellet hops and trub.

BTW: we placed it AFTER the pump and BEFORE the chiller to alleviate any priming concerns. That sucker gets hot!

So positioned after the pump, but before theplate chiller would be a challenge with the old style ChillWizard. I am really interested, but that is a non-starter.

A guy on the old forum was using hop rocket that he was putting rice hull into for straining. He reported good results there. I was opposed to the idea because a Hop Rocket is expensive stuff, but how expensive versus a $130 strainer? The strainer is $5 more. Curious.

I have used the Hop Rocket for a few years now.
I use it with 2 oz of whole hops in every brew.

I have a d plate chiller system and have really appreciated how well it works.
However, hops a trub do get through it towards the end of each transfer.

I appreciate the mention of the "trubfilter".
I may go ahead a get one to place after the hop rocket to catch the "bits" that make it through the Hop Rocket.

It sure looks like a great product.
