Talked to my LHBS and was told that, as far as he can tell, there are no fresh/wet hops being made available to home brewers. last year it was reported as not available without specification (just wild ass guessing among us home brewers), but the owner tells me that he had $0 in offering these, and if not for customer loyalty he would never have bothered again, and it seemed painful for Hop Union to put together in small quantities (plus ship I would imagine).

Anyone else have any other data?

Do you have a brewery you can snuggle up with? I have a few near where I live that will part with fresh hops, for a nominal fee of course!

If you watch Ebay (Hop Heaven in particular as a vendor) or some of the sites like Nikobrew or YakimaValley Hops - there will be the occasional crop of fresh hops. I think they came and went pretty quickly this year.

Otherwise - make friends with someone up north or north east that grows - and see if you can score a couple of pounds from their personal harvest.

Oh,

The Probrewer classifieds have a number of vendors looking to offload excess whole and pellet hops.

Good luck!

Plant a hop vine lads, very easy to manage once you get the right variety for your climate

They don't do so well in hot Texas. Otherwise would give it a try.
