Re: Brew Stand and Fermenter mods
Hey, I was just thinking about this! I think I will exchange the images for links to where the pictures are being hosted. Else, I will shrink the images to 2920x1080 or something along those lines.
when I get to my computer I will check out the recommended software option.

Brew Stand and Fermenter mods
moved to a Hop Spyder instead of using whole hops all the time. Also use this same spyder for Whirlpooling/hopstand post boil. I use an elbow to put the output directly into the spyder. http://www.brewingmagnumopus.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/20160320_174155.jpg I took meegs advise and also repla...

Gaskets
Is everyone still using BUNA gaskets on their brew stands? Since I bought my system used, most of these were looking fairly uhhh... used... I had to peel and scrape out the gasket that was in the BK that attached the dip tube. That connection was a disaster to get cleaned up... After the initial sur...

Re: Overnight mash?
Good thoughts Hooch, I am not too concerned with the wild aspects. Keeping the lid on it should prevent anything from dropping in. Any Brett should not have a chance to get established in this time period. Did some looking around for information on Lactic Bacteria growth. Seems they may survive mash...

First time Competition Entries this Year
I entered a few of my ales into local beer judging contests this year. This has been the first time I have put my hobby out there to be judged, and I feel like I have come a long way from switching to allgrain brewing at the beginning of 2014. Simcoe SMaSH - Entered into Great Storm Brewing - homebr...

Re: Beersmith 2.0
Heh, that's cool. I work around the corner from trinity, and my co-workers routinely meet there after work for food and drinks. There should be a case study made of how trinity markets and brands. Did you go to high school in the springs? And to keep topic on point, how long does it take to heat the...

Re: Trying to dial-in the initial BeerSmith profile
I love Kai's site: http://braukaiser.com/ After practically reading the entire site over and over, I have decided I prefer to perform a Hochkurz Double Decoction for all of my brewing. Thus, this means, I have an additional burner and 8 gallon SS pot set right next to my BM for my decoctions. This m...
